Executive summary — what is new

Verdict: the euro print re-accelerated; the business did not. Revenue of €4,969 million was +16.3% versus €4,272 million. That is the third straight rise in the reported year-over-year rate, and an eight-quarter high, +239 bps versus Q2. Constant-currency growth was +14%, down 100 bps from Q2's +15%. Currency swung from a −600 bps headwind in Q1 to a +190 bps tailwind this quarter. The reported line is the FX line.

Price is carrying premium. Subscribers are not. Premium revenue was €4,487 million, +17.3% versus €3,826 million, and +15% at constant currency, down from +16% in Q2. Ending subscribers were 306 million, +9% for the third straight quarter, versus +12% a year ago. Premium ARPU was €4.95 versus €4.53, +9.3% reported and +7.5% constant currency. MAUs were 788 million, +11%, the same tag as Q3 2025. Paid penetration slipped to 38.8% from 39.4%.

Gross margin expanded. Operating income did not keep the pace. EPS fell for a reason that is not operations. Gross margin was 33.0% versus 31.6%, +140 bps, narrower than Q2's +190 bps. Operating income was €672 million versus €582 million, +15.5%, down from +28% a year ago. Operating margin was 13.5% versus 13.6%, −10 bps, because operating expenses of €967 million grew +26%. Diluted EPS was €2.48 versus €3.28, −24.4%. Finance income net fell from €245 million to €33 million, and tax flipped from a €72 million benefit to a €187 million expense. Do not underwrite the EPS slope.

Street miss, company-guide hit, and the cushion is gone. FMP revenue missed by −0.3% and FMP EPS by −11.6%. The euro analyst-estimate average of €5,053 million was missed by −1.7%. Against the August guide, MAUs were exact, subscribers were +1 million, revenue was inside the rounded €5.0 billion, gross margin was +10 bps, and operating income was +€2 million. That operating-income beat has shrunk for five quarters: +€97, +€81, +€55, +€25, +€2 million. Social charges of €22 million were €13 million above the internal forecast and explain the last slice, not the slide from +€97 million. L12Q Street beat rates are 6/12 on revenue and 5/12 on EPS. EPS surprise magnitude is deteriorating.

The Q4 guide is a hold-the-line quarter, not a raise. €5.2 billion of revenue is about +14.8% versus €4,531 million, −0.9% versus the FMP euro average of €5,245 million, inside the rounding of a 0.1-billion guide. MAUs of 818 million are +8.9%, about −210 bps versus this quarter's +11%. Subscribers of 316 million hold +9.0%. Gross margin of 33.8% is only +70 bps. Operating income of €820 million is +17%. ARPU growth is guided to +4.5% to +5% constant currency, a fade from +7.5%. No 2027 number. Advertising constant currency went from +3% to +9% and is still only about a tenth of revenue. That is the unmodeled piece.

Tone and the four breaks. This was the "we did what we said" call. Agents and the ad inflection were answered. 2027 monetization, Family Plan, label terms, and how much cash is excess were deflected (7 well answered, 9 deflected). Four contradictions: excess-cash returns dated to Q1 and to Q3, a $9.9 billion "cash" line that is a €9.9 billion cash-plus-investments stack against €6,032 million of cash, a +9% / +7.5% premium bridge that multiplies to about +17% rather than +15%, and an 18% post-2022 CAGR the euro revenue record does not support. Quarterly free cash flow was €735 million, −8.8% versus €806 million. The trailing four quarters still sum to €3,190 million.

SharePoint, OneNote, Outlook, Teams, Excel, Visible Alpha, and Bloomberg were not available and were skipped. Consensus is FMP, plus Reuters' October 22 recap of LSEG and Visible Alpha where a figure is labeled as such.

Key metrics trends

Eight reported quarters, Q4 2024 through Q3 2026. Rows are metrics. The Q3 2026 column is this print. Revenue, premium, ads, users, margin, operating income, EPS, and free cash flow are Daloopa levels. A year-over-year percent with no link is calculated from those levels. A linked percent is the company's own tag. Q2 2025 premium and ads are the restated split; total revenue that quarter did not change.

YoY is the same quarter a year earlier. Accel is the change in that reported revenue YoY rate, in basis points, not sequential revenue. n/m is a sign change on EPS, or Q4 2024 operating income against a prior-year loss. Q1 2025 operating-income growth of +203% is €509 million over €168 million, and Q2 2025 is +52.6% on €406 million over €266 million. Those early rates are the profit ramp, not the current slope. Q2 2025 EPS of −€0.42 was a finance-line loss against positive operating income, so the later triple-digit EPS rates sit on a distorted base. Data sourced from Daloopa.

Why the lines diverge. Reported revenue YoY troughed at +6.8% in Q4 2025 and has since stepped +137, +574, and +239 bps. Constant currency over the same stretch was 13%, 14%, 15%, 14%. Q3's reported acceleration is the currency sign-flip. Premium FXN cooled one point. Subscriber growth has been 9% since Q1. ARPU constant currency went from +2% in Q4 2025 to +7.5%. Advertising constant currency is the one series that re-accelerated, from 3% to 9%, and the euro levels are +8.1%, not the company's +10% reported tag, which does not foot to €482 million over €446 million. Use +9% constant currency. Nine-month ad revenue is only +0.6%.

Gross profit rose faster than revenue, from €1,351 million to €1,639 million, +21%. Operating expenses rose faster than gross profit. Premium gross margin did the work: 34.5% versus 33.2%, +130 bps. Ad-supported gross margin was 18.7% versus 18.4%, +30 bps. The automated-channel revenue impact was +€91 million versus +€23 million. The direct channel was still −€53 million versus −€34 million.

Five completed years

FY2026 is three quarters in and is not in this table. Gross margin before FY2024 is gross profit divided by revenue. FY2025 premium and ads still foot to the pre-restatement Q2 split; total revenue is unaffected.

Nine-month 2026 revenue is €14,279 million versus €12,655 million, +12.8%, faster than FY2025's +9.7% and not a return to FY2024's +20% constant currency. The 2026 quarterly constant-currency tags are 14%, 15%, and 14%, in line with FY2025's +13%. Nine-month operating income is €2,042 million versus €1,497 million, +36%, so the year-to-date margin is still expanding even though this quarter's operating margin was not.

Beat / miss

Small Street miss on both lines. In line to ahead of Spotify's own guide. FMP's earnings file is a USD-like pair and is not IFRS euros. Do not variance it against €4,969 million. The euro revenue consensus is the FMP analyst-estimates average, still on file as an estimate. No euro EPS consensus is used: the analyst-estimates EPS average of 2.84 sits next to the USD actual of $2.81, not next to €2.48.

Management scored the quarter against the guide, not against Street EPS. Subscribers were ahead, led by rest of world and Latin America. Gross margin was 10 bps above the guide. Excluding social charges that ran €13 million over the internal forecast, they said operating income was €15 million above the guide. Advertising at +9% constant currency was the second-half inflection they had flagged. It was not large enough to clear either revenue bar.

Why EPS fell while operating income rose. Operating income was up €90 million. Finance income fell from €262 million to €62 million, and the year-ago quarter included a €197 million mark on exchangeable notes. Tax swung by €259 million the wrong way. Net income was €518 million versus €899 million, −42%. Social charges were lower than a year ago, so they are not the EPS decline. They only explain why the guide beat shrank to €2 million. Free cash flow was down on working-capital and cash-tax timing. No Street FCF consensus was available.

Street columns are the FMP earnings pair. A negative gap is a miss even when it is under 0.3%. Guide columns use the outlook issued the prior quarter. Revenue versus a guide rounded to €0.1 billion is in line when the gap is inside €50 million. This quarter is the last column.

Street revenue beat rate is 6/12 (50%) and 2/4 over the last four. Street EPS is 5/12 (42%) and 2/4. Revenue surprise has compressed to noise, and the sign has deteriorated: beat, beat, miss, miss. EPS went from +67% to +18% and then to misses of −4.1% and −11.6%. Subscribers have not missed in 12 quarters. Gross margin has not missed. The operating-income beat has narrowed every quarter since Q3 2025. The MAU beat streak broke in Q2 and did not resume.

FMP stable earnings file for the Street pair. Guide and actuals are Daloopa. A rounded revenue guide inside €50 million is in line, which is how management described this quarter. Data sourced from Daloopa. FMP is the consensus file, not Bloomberg.

Guidance deep dive

Spotify guides one quarter ahead, in point estimates. The Q4 2026 guide is the series stored on 2026Q3. There was no numeric Q4 guide at the August print. Low, high, and mid are the same number. No EPS, EBITDA, or free-cash-flow guide. "Too early" on 2027.

FMP's other feed, the USD-like earnings file for the February 9 print, has revenue of about $5,859 million. Translating €5.2 billion at this quarter's FMP ratio lands near $5.9 billion. The two feeds disagree on the sign of a sub-1% gap. That is noise. FMP's EBIT average of €902 million is not scored: the same file's Q3 EBIT average was about €780 million against IFRS operating income of €672 million.

The guide is slower than the reported trend, and it does not extend the euro acceleration. Q4 euro growth of +14.8% is about −120 bps versus Q3's +16.3%. Constant-currency revenue was not guided, and it already decelerated in Q3. Subscriber growth is flat at about 9%. MAU growth breaks the 11–12% plateau. ARPU contribution fades as price increases in more than 150 markets are lapped, partly offset by recent price and Audiobooks+. Gross-margin expansion goes from +190 bps in Q2 and +140 bps in Q3 to +70 bps, and that guide already includes audiobooks in more than 180 markets and the partner program past 50 markets. Operating-income growth holds the slower Q3 pace. It does not reopen the +40% to +60% stretch. Advertising is the exception, and it is still about 10% of revenue.

Full-year gross margin was quantified for the first time as about +130 bps versus FY2025's 32.0%. Three quarters plus the Q4 guide calculate to 33.3%, or +131 bps. There is still no formal full-year revenue or operating-income guide. Implied FY2026 revenue is €19,479 million, +13.3% versus €17,186 million, −0.5% versus the FMP average of €19,570 million. Implied operating income is €2,862 million. FY2027 on FMP is about +14.8% revenue growth. The company has not endorsed it.

Waterfall — Q4 revenue, € million

No prior Q4 number was revised. The step is last year's actual to the first guide, then the FMP average. Bars are drawn from a €4.0 billion floor so the increment is visible. The €45 million gap versus FMP is not a cut.

Blue is a reported or guided level. Green is the step from Q4 2025. Yellow is the FMP euro average. The guide sits €45 million under that average and €27 million under the FMP low of €5,227 million. Spotify tags the billion as approximate.

Gross margin has no street bar. 33.1% to 33.8% is +70 bps, half this quarter's expansion, and +90 bps versus the Q4 guide issued a year ago at 32.9%. Comparing this guide with last year's guide overstates the profit step: last year's operating-income guide of €620 million was beaten by €81 million, so guide-to-guide is +32% and actual-to-guide is +17%.

Tone versus August. The Q2 call was still explaining a 1 million MAU miss and would not put a number on the full-year margin. October is exact on the slower MAU guide, a second subscriber beat, advertising at +9% constant currency, and the first +130 bps full-year margin frame. Operating-expense growth is described as peaking on schedule. Confidence is highest on subscribers and lowest on anything that asks for a 2027 rate. The assumptions inside Q4 are a 30 million MAU add, a 10 million subscriber add, ARPU up 4.5–5%, ads still short of double digits, launch costs already in the 33.8% margin, flat headcount, and social charges as the swing they do not control.

Guide ids are the 2026Q3 Daloopa guidance series. FMP is the euro analyst-estimates file pulled 2026-10-26. Visible Alpha and LSEG figures are Reuters, October 22, 2026, not a terminal pull. ARPU of +4.5% to +5% and the +130 bps full-year margin line are the call, not a Daloopa series.

Historical performance

Reported revenue growth has re-accelerated for three quarters to an eight-quarter high. Constant-currency growth has not. Diluted EPS fell because finance income and tax reversed.

The Q4 guide of €5.2 billion against €4,531 million is about +14.8%, roughly 150 bps slower than Q3's reported rate, and the company presents the billion as approximate. It does not extend the reported acceleration.

The earlier EPS "acceleration" (+2,550 bps, then +7,073 bps) should be ignored. Q2 2025's −€0.42 was a −€358 million finance-net loss against operating income that was still €406 million. Q3 and Q4 2025 then booked large finance gains and tax benefits. Comparing 2026 EPS to those quarters manufactures a boom and a bust the operating account does not have. The scorecard management repeats is constant-currency revenue, subscribers, ARPU, gross margin, operating income, and free cash flow.

One-line read: a mid-teens constant-currency compounder that decelerated 100 bps, with reported growth flattered by a 790 bp swing in the translation rate from Q1 to Q3, subscriber growth stuck, operating-income growth cut to the mid-teens, and EPS down on a below-the-line compare.

Key catalysts

Q4 prints on February 9, 2027. Consensus, where it exists, is already on a +9% subscriber year, a slower MAU print, and about €820 million of operating income. The unmodeled piece is ads reaching double digits, and 2027 price or add-on monetization that management will not quantify.

OpEx peakSupposed to start in Q4Opex +26%. R&D €417M vs €309M, +35%.LSEG €813.4M of Q4 operating income vs the €820M guide. The Investor Day path toward an operating margin above 20% by 2030 only stays intact if Q4 shows the slowdown. Q3 margin was 13.5%.
AgentsLive; not a Q4 lineManagement: listening stays on Spotify. Only media service in Meta's Muse at launch. ChatGPT and Dots too.Not in the Q4 revenue or subscriber consensus. No share of listening, no churn rate, no fee. This is the bullish claim the street will not underwrite.
Label renewalsUMG and WMG, Q1 2027Premium FXN still +15%. Interests called aligned. No terms.Nothing in the €5.2bn guide is a new price cycle.Whether 2027 price and add-ons change the renewal. Sony was not named. Phonorecords V is a 2027 process for 2028–2032 rates.
Excess cashOngoing; no new authorizationCash repurchases €313M in Q3. YTD cash-flow repurchases €851M.No buyback estimate. The street asked if the cadence can rise. What "excess" means. $1.1bn through October 21 is the call, in dollars, and is not the euro cash-flow sum.

Two things can break the "they do what they say" record before 2027 is guided. A subscriber miss in Q4 would reclassify the free-tier friction as demand. An ad stall in Q4 would leave the mid-teens path entirely on Premium, in a year when the pricing lap gets harder and the label deals are back. Family-plan verification was called routine, with no financial impact. It is not a catalyst until they size it.

Visible Alpha and LSEG numbers are the Reuters recap of October 22, 2026. Product stats that are not linked (listenership +40%, biddable mix, 28-day users, About the Song) are the call or the same-day newsroom note, not Daloopa. No download, ad-price, or engagement panel was connected.

Street Q&A

Slido queue, not a live line. Bryan Goldberg read questions in vote order. No follow-ups. Norström took commercial, family-plan, and label questions. Söderström took agents and AI. Luiga spoke twice, on capital allocation and on whether ads lift the total. 7 well answered, 9 deflected. The answered set is mechanism and "we did what we said." The deflected set is every question that asked for a 2027 number, a conversion rate, or a euro impact.

#AskedWhoBadgeWhat was withheld
1Diffley — India and Indonesia free-tier friction and paid conversionNorströmDeflectedNo market KPI. "1.4 billion users" is the country's population, not Spotify MAUs.
2Diffley — buyback cadence as cash flow compoundsNorström, LuigaAnsweredHierarchy is usable: organic, then inorganic, then excess. No pace and no definition of excess. Q3 FCF −8.8% was not brought back.
3Ehrlich — who owns the customer when agents sit in frontSöderströmAnsweredThe stream stays on Spotify and the taste graph is not sent out. "Really good adoption" has no share of listening.
4Ehrlich — 2027 tiers, add-ons, or priceNorströmDeflectedPremature. The value recipe, with no rank order and no attach rate.
5Sheridan — did Q3 ads meet the second-half inflectionNorströmAnsweredYes, and the +9% FXN print supports it. No ad dollar inside the €5.2bn guide.
6Sheridan — AI and cloud spend versus user payoffSöderströmAnsweredCosts moderate in Q4 and into 2027. No AI budget. Listening-hour claims are not KPIs in this pull.
7Greenfield — can ads lift company growth, and is that 2027LuigaDeflectedMix only. Ads are about 10% of revenue. No year.
8Diffley — selling the internal agent stackSöderströmDeflectedOption value. Explicitly no guidance. Leave it out of a revenue build.
9Bazinet — Family Plan enforcementNorströmDeflectedRoutine verification. No markets, no end date, no P&L. A large plan with no impact is an unmodeled risk to the +10M subscriber add.
10Patterson — AI ROI after a year of coding toolsSöderströmAnsweredShipped features, engagement, and audiobook ARPU are the claimed payoff. Token prices at the labs are down. No headcount series.
11Bazinet — nearly €10bn of liquidity, no debtLuigaDeflected"No news." The pile was not split and none of it was earmarked.
12Patterson — do outside agents shrink StudioSöderströmAnsweredSame ubiquity argument. A Muse-created podcast is published back to Spotify.
13Anmuth — margin cost of audiobooks from a few dozen markets to 180+NorströmDeflectedBenefits yes, including a call-only +40% listenership. No basis points. The CFO had already put the cost inside the 33.8% guide.
14Greenfield — if the agent owns the relationship, is churn realSöderströmAnsweredMore than 100 million users on 28 days a month, so an agent that cancels unused subs is not the base case. No churn rate.
15Levi — price increases versus subscriber growthNorström, SöderströmDeflectedValue, then price. The Q4 guide already made the trade: ARPU slows, subscribers hold at +9%. They did not say that.
16Morris — UMG and WMG renewals in Q1 2027NorströmDeflectedNo terms. Interests "aligned." The price lever in question 4 is not separable from this answer.

The contrarian gap, in the sense that only management is repeating a bullish claim the street will not put in the model, is agent distribution: a tailwind, not a back-end pipe, and the last subscription an agent cancels. Ehrlich, Greenfield, and Patterson asked it three ways. The mechanism was consistent. None of it carried a revenue line. The weaker version is ads. Management said the second half would re-accelerate, Q3 did, and they still will not say the rebuilt ad business changes Spotify's growth rate.

Quarterly free cash flow of €735 million versus €806 million is −8.8%. The buyback answers did not mention it. Trailing four quarters are still up, to €3,190 million from €2,917 million, +9.4%.

Contradictions

Four breaks between the calls and the reported series. Labeled Q4 guidance is not in this set. None of the four is a silent miss of the Q3 operating print: MAUs, subscribers, revenue, gross margin, and operating income match the series.

C-1 · High · When excess-cash returns started

Q1 prepared remarks described the buyback as offsetting employee dilution, not a return of surplus. On August 4, after Q1 was over, Luiga still used the future tense: they expect that they will also return cash. On October 22 the prepared remarks say excess-cash returns have been initiated, the first Q&A answer says that was proven this quarter, and the second answer says it started in quarter 1. The same speaker, the same call, two start dates, plus a third from August.

The cash was spent throughout: €306 million in Q1, €232 million in Q2, €313 million in Q3. This is not a claim that buybacks were zero. It is a claim about when they became a return of surplus. Those dates cannot all be true. The Q3 queue asked the question twice.

C-2 · Medium · $9.9 billion is neither dollars nor the cash line

The Q3 script says $9.9 billion of cash and cash equivalents, inside a paragraph that is otherwise in euros. Q1 and Q2 called the same stack euros, and the euro sum matched: cash plus short-term investments. Q3 cash is €6,032 million. Short-term investments are €3,856 million. Together that is €9,888 million, which rounds to €9.9 billion and does not round to $9.9 billion. Bazinet's uncorrected "nearly EUR 10 billion" is the figure the balance sheet supports.

The label has been loose since Q1. "Cash and cash equivalents" only exists at that number if short-term investments are included, and those are a separate asset, more than a third of the pile. Q4 2025 was the last time the script said "cash and short-term investments." Reading the Q3 sentence as US dollars misstates the pile by the euro-dollar gap. It is not a missing €4 billion.

C-3 · Medium · +9% subscribers and +7.5% ARPU are not +15% premium

Luiga said premium revenue rose 15% at constant currency, driven by subscriber growth of 9% and ARPU of 7.5%. Each rate is real: +15%, +9%, +7.5%. They do not multiply. 1.09 times 1.075 is about +17.2%, not +15%. Adding them is 16.5, which is not 15 either. Reported premium revenue, €4,487 million over €3,826 million, is +17.3%. FX was a tailwind, so it is not the missing piece.

The bridge closes only if the 9% is the wrong subscriber. Revenue divided by ARPU implies the average base grew about 7.3%, not 9%. Ending subscribers grew faster than the subscribers inside the revenue line. He cited the ending rate as a driver of revenue. Q2 had the same shape. A model that multiplies the two rates he named will put premium growth near 17%.

C-4 · Medium · 18% a year since the 2022 Investor Day

On the Q2 call, not repeated and not corrected in Q3, Norström said revenue has compounded at 18% a year since the 2022 Investor Day, reaching €17 billion in 2025. The destination is fair: €17,186 million. The speed is not. From FY2022 €11,727 million the three-year CAGR is 13.6%. From FY2021 €9,668 million it is 15.5%. From FY2020 €7,880 million it is 16.9%. No standard euro window is 18%. No constant-currency annual series in this pull repairs it. The sentence was doing work for a forward mid-teens rate.

Checked and not contradictions: gross margin 33.0% versus Q2's record 33.4% (the guide was 32.9%, and 33.0% is the 10 bps he claimed); quarterly free cash flow down while the €3.2 billion trailing figure is the four-quarter sum; "about €5 billion" versus €4,969 million; ads "toward" double digits rather than at them; biddable "up to 40%" after "nearly 40%"; the 25-million-subscriber-a-year claim against the year-end series; and the +130 bps full-year margin line, which was labeled as arithmetic on the Q4 guide, not a silent change in the no-full-year-guide policy. The "1.4 billion users" India line is a population slip. Waze "for decades" was walked back to "for years" by the same speaker.

Indirect read-throughs

No rates, CPI, or industrial tape. The external signals that are actually on the call are paid-consumer durability at a slower subscriber rate, an advertising inflection in biddable and podcast demand, label renewals framed as aligned into Q1 2027, and Meta and OpenAI agents framed as distribution.

Read-throughWhat was saidFor whomLimit
Paid consumerAdds have not stopped through price increases. Growth from every region. ARPU FXN still +7.5%. Subscribers stuck at +9%.Better for daily-habit subscriptions. Not a 2026 consumer break in digital media.Durable and slower, not re-accelerating. Q4 ARPU guided to +4.5–5% as 150-plus markets lap.
Audio adsAds FXN from 3% to 9%. Biddable and podcast sponsorship. Progress toward double digits in Q4. Rogan renewed, multi-year, no terms.Better for podcast publishers and automated audio buying.About 9.7% of Spotify. Not a call on search, social, or TV. Direct channel still down YoY. "40%" has no defined denominator.
Meta Muse and Ray-BanOnly media service in Muse at launch. Agent remote-controls Spotify. Taste data stays. No fee.Better for Spotify's distribution claim, and a feature win for Muse. Not a concession that Meta owns the listener. No economics.
OpenAI ChatGPT and DotsSpotify described as the first media service in ChatGPT, and integrated in Dots.Same structure as Meta.No fee. Differentiation he is defending is the catalog and the taste model.
UMG and WMGTwo-year mark in Q1 2027. Norström would not discuss terms and called interests aligned, including remixes with consent, credit, and compensation.Constructive versus a public fight. Not resolved.Sony was not named. Do not assume Sony is in the same conversation.
Believe and TuneCoreAdded for remixes and covers. Q2 already had Universal and Merlin on the same terms.Better for those distributors if a paid add-on ships.Pre-revenue on this call. Merlin was not repeated; that is not a dropout.
Model labsToken costs at the labs are down and have been helpful. Spotify routes across models, including open-source models it hosts. Claude Code is a year of internal use.Better for software buyers routing across labs. Mixed for a single lab's pricing power. Not a consumer partnership. Not a cut in AI product investment. Headcount described as flat.
Unused subscriptionsGreenfield named agents that cancel subs people are not using. Gustav's answer: Spotify will not bet on breakage, and more than 100 million users are on 28 days a month.Worse, if that category scales, for low-engagement subs.A claim about Spotify's engagement. Instinct was the analyst's example. Spotify did not say it is integrated there.
IndiaThe only explicit macro number: GDP growth of 7–8%. Free-tier friction called business positive.A monetization choice, not a demand problem.MAU YoY already slipped from 12% to 11%. The Q4 guide is the test.

Apple Music was not reopened. On the prior call Spotify declined to comment on Apple's July increase and called itself the category price leader. Silence this quarter is not a new stance. Audiobook incumbents were not named. "The world's first global audiobook service" is positioning. The gross-margin gain this quarter happened while the product was still limited; the broad launch is a gross-margin investment from here, and it is already inside the Q4 margin guide. No hardware name was attached to the connected-device analogy.

Rates, inflation, and industrial activity were not discussed. Do not infer them from the cash balance or from ARPU. ARPU is company price and mix.
